"If you look for the ldconsultants@mac.com web site you are not going to find it
because as of July 1, 2012 it's gone, poof, vanished, adios. It has been
replaced with a new web site http://drgacka.com. That means you might need to
drop the old site from your browser bookmarks or favorites and enter the new
site. Please take a look and provide any suggestions for making it more useful
to instructors and tutors."Kim Rossmanhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/05436617842767633152noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8767401554448311302.post-8112411141311765782012-02-29T08:22:00.000-05:002012-02-29T08:22:27.710-05:00Have you Heard the Story of the Teacher who Couldn't Read?John Corcoran shares a bit of his story about graduating from high school and college and teaching high school despite the fact that he was not able to read. After a career as a teacher in a Philadelphia Middle School, Jo Ann is now a volunteer instructor with the Center for Literacy, currently tutoring five small groups of adult beginning readers.
The goal for the model is to get students to the level where they can successfully join larger ABE classes.
